Johnson Tiles adds style and safety to new multimillion pound leisure centre

The nature of the project meant the need for certain technical requirements, including Antislip Fingergrip edging for around the perimeter of the pool, and Antislip floor tiles to ensure the highest level of safety for visitors.

Combinations of Graphite, Granite and Shadow tiles from the Kerastar range were also used – in four sizes and five formats.

Johnson Tiles lent its expertise to provide Blackburn’s new state-of-the-art leisure centre with its wall and floor tiles. The facility has now opened its doors, following an official event with Olympic Gold medallist Rebecca Adlington.

The new £13.5 million complex, which includes a sports hall, gym, an aerobics studio, health suite, two pools and two water flumes, uses tiles from our Kerastar and Pools ranges throughout.
