Celebrating our longest serving staff

As one of the leading employers not just in Stoke-on-Trent but in the UK, our annual Long Service Awards are our opportunity to say thanks to our staff for their outstanding achievements and contributions.
This year, 62 of our employees received a Long Service Award in recognition for 25, 40 and even 50 years of service.
Honoured with a champagne reception at the Moat House, our 2016 award recipients represent an impressive 2,016 years of working at Johnson Tiles between them.
Our longest serving employee in this year’s honours is Patrick Baskeyfield, who first joined the company in July 1965 and retired in 2015 after five decades of service. Starting out as engineer in the floor tile factory, earning £2 for a week’s work, Patrick eventually became a Glost Operator, in charge of some of our most advanced digital manufacturing machinery.
Congratulations to all our Long Service Award recipients.
The following photographs feature all the winners, except for those who were unable to attend the evening, including: Stephen Purcell, Ivan Kindrat, Alan Evans, David Barnett, Steven Colclough, Julie Cartwright, Sandra Stewart, Anthony Oakes, Terence Daniel, Jacqueline Dentith, Karen Jones, Stuart Ellerton and Philip Heath – all of whom have been recognised for 25 years of service.
