Staffordshire University, Show & Tell: Ones to Watch 2016
Angela Hill
Ceramicist
Showcased as part of the Foundation degree section of Staffordshire University’s show, Angela Hill’s collection of ceramics caught the eye of our Design Team, due to their soft muted colour palette of greys and blush pink.
Becky Roe
Surface pattern designer and illustrator
Becky Roe’s floral and jungle-inspired designs seek to bring the outdoors in, through the use of a natural colour palette, and bold, expressive print.

Chelsea Imlack
Surface pattern designer
Chelsea Imlack’s work is inspired by the current trends for marble and paper exploration. Using traditional marbling techniques, combined with detailed linear drawing; she creates a juxtaposition of the two entities through Photoshop. The result is unexpected and curious, experimental design.
Abbey Costello
Surface pattern and textile designer
Abbey Costello’s work particularly struck a chord with our Design Team due to her use of bold shapes in a striking, contemporary colour palette.
Inspired by abandoned spaces and disused buildings, Abbey begins her creative process with a photograph, before working with paper to create cutouts. The premise of her work is to retain shape whilst abstracting any detail, emphasising a focus on texture for a unique style of surface design.
