Anglesey Cottages
Anglesey Cottages
Anglesey, North Wales
These beautiful holiday homes set in the picturesque Isle of Anglesey have recently been converted, in an excellent location overlooking the Snowdonia mountains and in close proximity to Lleiniog Beach. The newly converted cosy cottages host a variety of group sizes, to provide a home away from home for all residents.
A mix of our tiles were fixed in the properties, our wood-effect Kielder range in the Frosty Oak colourway was laid on the floor throughout the kitchen/diner of one of the cottages. The large 1140x200mm planks take inspiration from the natural world, the light grey tone is reminiscent of a crisp winter morning and provides a perfect neutral backdrop.
Our marble-effect Glide collection creates a modern and sleek look in the bathroom in a glossy finish and 600x300mm format. The pure white tiles are threaded with the gentle veining of a carrara marble, perfect for creating an elegant and clean look. The plain tiles are paired with the linear structure décor option to create an added sense of depth and texture to the walls. They contrast impeccably with the Hudson Manhattan Natural 600x600mm floor tiles, the stone-effect glazed porcelain tiles have a weathered and distressed look creating an industrial aesthetic.
In another bathroom setting, our Ashlar Warm Taupe Matt 600x300mm ceramic wall tiles were opted for with the coordinating 600x600mm porcelain floor tiles. The Warm Taupe tone has sandy notes perfect for creating a sense of relaxation. The floor tiles were then also carried through to the rest of the downstairs of the cottage, great for opening up the space to create a seamless appearance.
Developed by Amos Group Ltd, Seth Amos recalled ‘The tiles were chosen as the style is universal and unique, as well as well priced. The ribbed tiles offer a traditional feel, which adds to the character of the properties, while the marble effect of both the smooth and ribbed demonstrates a high-quality finish, which adapts well to a variety of different sanitary ware. The traditional wooden effect tiles are suitable for underfloor heating and the large size indicates a high quality and grandeur to the build, which ties in nicely to the kitchen and character of the property.’
‘Our experience with Johnson and particularly Mark, Sophie and Kate have been great, we are often offered a range of different tiles to suit individual properties. We receive quick responses and often get hand delivered samples, which allow us to match up tiles and properties prior to placing an order.’
The cottages are the right mix of traditional yet modern, offering a spacious and cosy atmosphere for residents to enjoy in a charming and scenic location and we feel the tiles reflect this effortlessly.
