Kent College Pool

The impressive 25-metre, six-lane competition pool at Kent College, which opened last year, is now an integral part of a swimming school run in partnership with Monson Swimming Club, offering lessons and support to both pupils and the local community. Our Refine Pewter Grip tiles, used in the 600x300mm size, were chosen for this project to enhance the pool's aesthetic and functionality. Drawing inspiration from the natural characteristics of stone, the grey tone of Pewter serves as the perfect neutral complement to the clear blue pool water. The textured, grip finish provides a PTV slip resistance rating of 36+ in wet barefoot conditions, ensuring a safe flooring solution around the pool, as well as in the changing room and toilet areas.

Tiling has been meticulously executed from wall to floor, creating a seamless transition throughout the three areas. The rectified, precise edges of these large-format porcelain tiles contribute to a smooth and clean finish, enhancing the overall visual appeal. Additionally, with up to 30% recycled content and an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), this tile range also boasts impressive sustainability credentials, further enriching the stunning finished look and aligning with eco-friendly practices.

This sizeable, standout pool is a great addition to Kent College, offering numerous opportunities to the local area.
